customer service develops all three.
4. Self-Propelled Marketing.
Self-propelled marketing is things like link exchanges

lasting AND growing marketing machine. A busy,
growing web site is a self-propelled marketing machine.
Once you work through the ramp-up process and develop
all four of the necessary components of self-sufficient
business growth, you begin to experience success in spite of

Pushing Through The Slump"

There comes a point in the life of any business owner when
it seems like you are staring at a wall. Maybe sales have
slowed to a crawl, maybe the work has become monotonous, or
perhaps a few setbacks have happened recently. Whatever the
cause, there may be a day when you are tempted to forget
the whole thing. Here are a few simple ways to get past
that inevitable slump:
1. Think of the time and money you have already invested
It may seem you're not getting anywhere, but if you look
back several months into the history of your newly formed
business, you will be able to see you have made quite a bit
of progress. You have already put in your blood, sweat,
tears, plus probably lost a little sleep over this venture.
It would be a shame to just throw it all away.
2. Rethink your business plan
If your slump is caused by a slowdown in your sales, it may
be time to think of something new. Put your current ideas
on hold for a day or even several days while you rethink
your direction and focus. It may be the ideas you're trying
just aren't working and it's time to inject some fresh
ideas into the mix.
3. Take a short vacation
Your frustration and lack of motivation could be your
body's way of signaling it needs a break. Running a
business, even online, can be stressful and mentally
exhausting at times. You've probably been working longer
hours than you expected and facing challenges on a regular
basis at this stage. Stress can deplete your body of im-
portant nutrients, so it might be time to take a short
break and let your body recuperate from your hard work.
4. Ask for help
Friends and family can be a great resource at times like
this. You may need help getting everything done or it could
just be with some brainstorming for new ideas to put into
place. Close family may already know some of the struggles
you've had and might have helpful suggestions for you.
One word of caution: Make it clear upfront if and how they
will be compensated for their help. It's not worth risking
a relationship over.
5. Write down a list of reasons you started this business
When you started, you had dreams. You had an idea of what
you wanted to accomplish. Sit down and remember what those
ideas were. Seeing things in writing can help to motivate
you, so make a list and hang it in a visible place like
your workspace or even on the fridge.
These tips will help you get past your slump and back into
business. Remember, you started your online business for a
reason. Keep that reason in mind to keep your motivation
level high. And don't be afraid to give yourself a break

How to Write Better Subject Lines

The hardest part of email marketing is getting people to
read it. Many people just use the "from" address and the
subject line to dwindle down their over packed inboxes.
They basically they use only the subject line delete
everything they deem to be not useful. This is why great
subject lines are important to the success of an email
marketing campaign. The first line of the email is just
as important. The subject line content is also a major
component for the recognition of many ISP and recipient
-level spam filters. What this means is a poorly written
subject lead may not even reach the recipient's inbox
in the first place because it was deleted by software.
These are some helpful tips you can use to maximize
the effectiveness of your subject lead.
Use the Same Style
The content of a subject line will change based on what
the email is about, but you can still write in the same
style. Try to make them original so that they are easily
recognized by a reader. It is important to test and
figure out what style works best for your recipients.
Some examples of styles would be humorous,
incentive-based, provocative, and tip oriented.
Inform recipients.
Subject lines should reveal an important topic. They
should also be timely and useful to the reader. In
better words it should say "you better read this email
or you will be missing out on something of real value."
Send Subject Lines to Yourself.
It only makes sense to send to yourself what you are
sending to others. Try sending test samples with
different subject lines and see which ones work on
you. Ask yourself what kind of reaction your email
warrants. Do you think you would delete it, open it,
save it or read it.
Intrigue recipient.
The email you are sending could be competing with about
10 to 100 other emails so it is important to gain attention
from your reader by intriguing them. Try to stimulate a
response to get them to open the email. Some good examples
are the use of questions, euphemisms and "how to" techniques.
Competing with other emails is the toughest part of email
marketing and just like any of sector of the business
arena, competition is fierce. It is important to do all
you can to gain an advantage in all areas of marketing
if you want to succeed.

How to Keep Your Emails From Getting Blocked by Spam Filters
By Sean R Mize
You will stand a much better chance of getting your
e-mail message past the SPAM software gatekeepers
if you follow the guidelines below:
- Mail Headers That Are Accurate
Never use false "From" addresses; make sure that
your e-mail accurately reflects your actual e-mail
server name, and always use the recipient's subscriber
name in the "To" field. Mail sent to "Subscribers" or
other fictitious names is almost guaranteed to get
tagged as SPAM.
- Make Sure Your Domain & Mail Server Are Consistent
Some SPAM software will check that the "From" and
"Return To" address leads to a mail server IP address
that can actually be reached. Don't relay your mail
through multiple servers even if you have permission.
- Use SPF
Sender Policy Framework (SPF) is an additional level
of protection that prohibits spammers from sending
e-mail through your server and making it look like
you sent it. By blocking out this type of threat you
lower your chances of ending up on SPAM blacklists
for offenses that you did not commit. Ask your ISP
if SPF is available and how to implement it.
- eMail Formatting
Make sure that you create technically sound HTML
code that uses the proper mime types and tags. Avoid
using HTML generators like FrontPage to create your
HTML e-mail messages.
- Be Careful Of Warnings...
Avoid adding disclaimers like "This is not SPAM" or
citing references to non-existent government rules
or laws. You should add any message footers required
by the CAN-SPAM ACT or the e-mail marketing laws of
your country.
- Use Normal Sentences & Layouts
Do not use excessive spacing between sentences and
avoid overuse of capitalization or punctuation,
especially the exclamation point (!).
- Don't Try To Be Tricky With Spelling
Tricks like writing F.R.E.E. won't fool the latest
generation of SPAM software. Neither will the use of
alternate characters or other gimmicks like L@@K At
THIS!
- Invisible Text Is A No, No!
Make sure that the color of your text is different
than the color of your background. Trying to hide
words by making them the same color will get your
message flagged as SPAM.
- Never use invisible graphics
If you are adding a graphic image to track your open
rate, make sure that you don't create an invisible
or transparent one. These are seen as mail bugs by
SPAM checkers. Use a small image to replace a bullet
point or some other normal graphic image. Keep the
file size below 50k.
- Idea: If you're using HTML e-mails, do not use
invisible web-bugs to track your e-mails. If you must
track your e-mails and whether they're read, use
visible graphics as part of your e-mail, not invisible
graphics.
- Offer Plain Text In Addition To HTML
Always include a plain text message inside your HTML
message for the benefit of those who cannot receive
HTML e-mail as well as for the SPAM checker to parse.
Try to keep the text message as close to the wording
of the HTML portion as possible. The more unlike each
other the messages are, the more likely it is to be
flagged as SPAM.
- Be Careful Of The Tools You Use
Don't use bulk mail software that spammers use. This
particularly includes any software that claims to have
"stealth" mailing capabilities. If you're using HTML
e-mails, include a text part in the e-mail as well, for
recipients (and anti-spam checkers), and keep that text
as close to the HTML copy as possible. The closer they're
related, the less likely your e-mail will be seen as spam.
SPAM Assassin, one of the most frequently used anti-SPAM
software programs, has published this list of SPAM "Sins"

How to Write Better Subject Lines

The hardest part of email marketing is getting people to
read it. Many people just use the "from" address and the
subject line to dwindle down their over packed inboxes.
They basically they use only the subject line delete
everything they deem to be not useful. This is why great
subject lines are important to the success of an email
marketing campaign. The first line of the email is just
as important. The subject line content is also a major
component for the recognition of many ISP and recipient
-level spam filters. What this means is a poorly written
subject lead may not even reach the recipient's inbox
in the first place because it was deleted by software.
These are some helpful tips you can use to maximize
the effectiveness of your subject lead.
Use the Same Style
The content of a subject line will change based on what
the email is about, but you can still write in the same
style. Try to make them original so that they are easily
recognized by a reader. It is important to test and
figure out what style works best for your recipients.
Some examples of styles would be humorous,
incentive-based, provocative, and tip oriented.
Inform recipients.
Subject lines should reveal an important topic. They
should also be timely and useful to the reader. In
better words it should say "you better read this email
or you will be missing out on something of real value."
Send Subject Lines to Yourself.
It only makes sense to send to yourself what you are
sending to others. Try sending test samples with
different subject lines and see which ones work on
you. Ask yourself what kind of reaction your email
warrants. Do you think you would delete it, open it,
save it or read it.
Intrigue recipient.
The email you are sending could be competing with about
10 to 100 other emails so it is important to gain attention
from your reader by intriguing them. Try to stimulate a
response to get them to open the email. Some good examples
are the use of questions, euphemisms and "how to" techniques.
Competing with other emails is the toughest part of email
marketing and just like any of sector of the business
arena, competition is fierce. It is important to do all
you can to gain an advantage in all areas of marketing
if you want to succeed.

How to Keep Your Emails From Getting Blocked by Spam Filters
By Sean R Mize
You will stand a much better chance of getting your
e-mail message past the SPAM software gatekeepers
if you follow the guidelines below:
- Mail Headers That Are Accurate
Never use false "From" addresses; make sure that
your e-mail accurately reflects your actual e-mail
server name, and always use the recipient's subscriber
name in the "To" field. Mail sent to "Subscribers" or
other fictitious names is almost guaranteed to get
tagged as SPAM.
- Make Sure Your Domain & Mail Server Are Consistent
Some SPAM software will check that the "From" and
"Return To" address leads to a mail server IP address
that can actually be reached. Don't relay your mail
through multiple servers even if you have permission.
- Use SPF
Sender Policy Framework (SPF) is an additional level
of protection that prohibits spammers from sending
e-mail through your server and making it look like
you sent it. By blocking out this type of threat you
lower your chances of ending up on SPAM blacklists
for offenses that you did not commit. Ask your ISP
if SPF is available and how to implement it.
- eMail Formatting
Make sure that you create technically sound HTML
code that uses the proper mime types and tags. Avoid
using HTML generators like FrontPage to create your
HTML e-mail messages.
- Be Careful Of Warnings...
Avoid adding disclaimers like "This is not SPAM" or
citing references to non-existent government rules
or laws. You should add any message footers required
by the CAN-SPAM ACT or the e-mail marketing laws of
your country.
- Use Normal Sentences & Layouts
Do not use excessive spacing between sentences and
avoid overuse of capitalization or punctuation,
especially the exclamation point (!).
- Don't Try To Be Tricky With Spelling
Tricks like writing F.R.E.E. won't fool the latest
generation of SPAM software. Neither will the use of
alternate characters or other gimmicks like L@@K At
THIS!
- Invisible Text Is A No, No!
Make sure that the color of your text is different
than the color of your background. Trying to hide
words by making them the same color will get your
message flagged as SPAM.
- Never use invisible graphics
If you are adding a graphic image to track your open
rate, make sure that you don't create an invisible
or transparent one. These are seen as mail bugs by
SPAM checkers. Use a small image to replace a bullet
point or some other normal graphic image. Keep the
file size below 50k.
- Idea: If you're using HTML e-mails, do not use
invisible web-bugs to track your e-mails. If you must
track your e-mails and whether they're read, use
visible graphics as part of your e-mail, not invisible
graphics.
- Offer Plain Text In Addition To HTML
Always include a plain text message inside your HTML
message for the benefit of those who cannot receive
HTML e-mail as well as for the SPAM checker to parse.
Try to keep the text message as close to the wording
of the HTML portion as possible. The more unlike each
other the messages are, the more likely it is to be
flagged as SPAM.
- Be Careful Of The Tools You Use
Don't use bulk mail software that spammers use. This
particularly includes any software that claims to have
"stealth" mailing capabilities. If you're using HTML
e-mails, include a text part in the e-mail as well, for
recipients (and anti-spam checkers), and keep that text
as close to the HTML copy as possible. The closer they're
related, the less likely your e-mail will be seen as spam.
SPAM Assassin, one of the most frequently used anti-SPAM
software programs, has published this list of SPAM "Sins"

4 Tips To Boost The Selling Power Of Your Resale
Rights Products -

Selling products with resale rights is a very
lucrative business online. However, not everyone
achieves success because of the various nuances
involved with such a business.
To assure maximum profitability in the resale rights
niche, learning how to present your products correctly
is of much importance. To accomplish this involves
some knowledge on the different factors that make or
break resale rights marketing.
So, let's take a look at these factors, the difficulty
they present and what solutions you can use to come up
with a resale rights product that your prospective
customers will find hard to resist.
1. Exclusiveness. People will be more inclined to buy
your products if their sale is limited to a certain
number of people. There are many reasons for this.
Primarily is the fact that resale rights are so
appealing because they provide the buyer the
opportunity to create an additional income stream,
or in some instances, their only source of income.
But if the product is sold to an unlimited number
of people, the market becomes saturated, leaving
little room to make a profit. The same is true for
products that are sold to a limited number of people,
but the number is in the hundreds, if not thousands.
The best approach is to sell your products to a maximum
of 100 people, though a lower number will always prove
better for you and your buyers.
2. Price. Though you are justified to sell a resale
rights package for a price higher than the value of
the products, if you ask an outrageous amount you'll
have difficulty making sales. As a rule, the best way
to set the price of your package is to multiply the
value of the highest priced product by three. But
remember, the lower the price, the more tempting your
offer will be.
On the other hand, you don't want to set the price so
low that the buyer will perceive the products as being
of no value. Far too often sellers will ask a ridiculously
low price for brand new, hot-off-the-press products, some
with an original asking price of $197. This accomplishes
nothing more than to make a few quick bucks for the seller.
The buyer however, is then faced with trying to sell a
product at it's original value, while others are charging
as little as $1 to $5 - or giving away the same product
for free.
3. Restrictions. Many resale rights products come with
restrictions. But too many restrictions may turn away
some who would otherwise be interested in purchasing your
product. It is best to place only the restrictions that
will preserve the value of the product for the benefit
of your buyers.
4. Market life. Trying to sell a product that is at or
nearing the end of its market life can be difficult.
People will find little value in it since they'll have
the impression that they'll have a hard time selling it
as well. To overcome their concern, suggest a unique
selling proposition they could use. For example, recommend
the inclusion of valuable bonuses to increase the appeal of
the product. Or you can recommend the inclusion of
additional, related products to come up with a turnkey
package that will likewise increase the offer's
attractiveness.
There really is no set time limit to when a product has
reached the end of its shelf life, although the standard
thinking is 2 to 3 years.
Here are a few things to consider when determining if
a product is no longer sellable...
* Is the content still applicable? For instance, with
the fast-paced internet marketing industry, an ebook or
software product that was released just 6 months ago may
already be obsolete. However, there are some marketing
classics, particularly those created from public domain
works, that are as timely today as they were when they
were written.
* Is the market over-saturated with the product? We've
all seen products that are being sold by every Tom, Dick
and Harriet. It is best to stay away from such products,
because no matter how low you set the price of the product,
someone else will always be selling it cheaper.
One caveat to this is if you cater to the "newbie" market.
There's no reason that an ebook that was published in 1998
cannot be sold to new internet marketers, provided of course
that the product has value and contains information that is
still relevant.
You never know, what us veteran marketers think of as "old
and rehashed", may be just what a "newbie" is looking for.

4 Tips To Boost The Selling Power Of Your Resale
Rights Products -

Selling products with resale rights is a very
lucrative business online. However, not everyone
achieves success because of the various nuances
involved with such a business.
To assure maximum profitability in the resale rights
niche, learning how to present your products correctly
is of much importance. To accomplish this involves
some knowledge on the different factors that make or
break resale rights marketing.
So, let's take a look at these factors, the difficulty
they present and what solutions you can use to come up
with a resale rights product that your prospective
customers will find hard to resist.
1. Exclusiveness. People will be more inclined to buy
your products if their sale is limited to a certain
number of people. There are many reasons for this.
Primarily is the fact that resale rights are so
appealing because they provide the buyer the
opportunity to create an additional income stream,
or in some instances, their only source of income.
But if the product is sold to an unlimited number
of people, the market becomes saturated, leaving
little room to make a profit. The same is true for
products that are sold to a limited number of people,
but the number is in the hundreds, if not thousands.
The best approach is to sell your products to a maximum
of 100 people, though a lower number will always prove
better for you and your buyers.
2. Price. Though you are justified to sell a resale
rights package for a price higher than the value of
the products, if you ask an outrageous amount you'll
have difficulty making sales. As a rule, the best way
to set the price of your package is to multiply the
value of the highest priced product by three. But
remember, the lower the price, the more tempting your
offer will be.
On the other hand, you don't want to set the price so
low that the buyer will perceive the products as being
of no value. Far too often sellers will ask a ridiculously
low price for brand new, hot-off-the-press products, some
with an original asking price of $197. This accomplishes
nothing more than to make a few quick bucks for the seller.
The buyer however, is then faced with trying to sell a
product at it's original value, while others are charging
as little as $1 to $5 - or giving away the same product
for free.
3. Restrictions. Many resale rights products come with
restrictions. But too many restrictions may turn away
some who would otherwise be interested in purchasing your
product. It is best to place only the restrictions that
will preserve the value of the product for the benefit
of your buyers.
4. Market life. Trying to sell a product that is at or
nearing the end of its market life can be difficult.
People will find little value in it since they'll have
the impression that they'll have a hard time selling it
as well. To overcome their concern, suggest a unique
selling proposition they could use. For example, recommend
the inclusion of valuable bonuses to increase the appeal of
the product. Or you can recommend the inclusion of
additional, related products to come up with a turnkey
package that will likewise increase the offer's
attractiveness.
There really is no set time limit to when a product has
reached the end of its shelf life, although the standard
thinking is 2 to 3 years.
Here are a few things to consider when determining if
a product is no longer sellable...
* Is the content still applicable? For instance, with
the fast-paced internet marketing industry, an ebook or
software product that was released just 6 months ago may
already be obsolete. However, there are some marketing
classics, particularly those created from public domain
works, that are as timely today as they were when they
were written.
* Is the market over-saturated with the product? We've
all seen products that are being sold by every Tom, Dick
and Harriet. It is best to stay away from such products,
because no matter how low you set the price of the product,
someone else will always be selling it cheaper.
One caveat to this is if you cater to the "newbie" market.
There's no reason that an ebook that was published in 1998
cannot be sold to new internet marketers, provided of course
that the product has value and contains information that is
still relevant.
You never know, what us veteran marketers think of as "old
and rehashed", may be just what a "newbie" is looking for.

The 7 Deadly Sins Of Email Marketing

Email marketing is SO popular these days! It is unusual
to check your inbox without being greeted by numerous
new arrivals. Because virtually every online business
uses this effective tool, it is critical to learn the
do's and don'ts of email marketing. This article will
focus on 7 email practices to strictly avoid.
1) Avoid delivering test messages to your whole customer
list. Send a test message to a sampling of approximately
1/3 of your list.
2.) Try to avoid sending multiple test messages to your
whole list. Again, a sampling of approximately 1/3 of
your list will suffice.
3.) Avoid delivering test messages with slang terms or
unprofessional text. This is particularly true if the
message is to your entire list.
4.) NEVER send large quantities of unsolicited email.
This is called SPAM!
5.) If your mailings are in html, watch out for
broken links.
6.)Again, if you intend to send out an html email,
do not send text by accident.
7.) Never send an email to a person that has unsubscribed

this I significantly increased my conversion.
4) Use a compelling P.S.
The P.S. is the second most read part of your email.
For this reason it is important that you emphasize a
benefit as this will most likely make your reader

Seven tips to help ensure your emails are delivered,
opened and read.
Are you an e-marketer who wants to make more sales and
profits without spending a dime more on advertising? Then
get customers salivating for your product or service using
email as the lead method to drive your online success.
Email is the inexpensive marketing channel that allows
you to speak directly to prospects and customers and carry
on a relationship that contributes directly to sales.
Give email a starring role in your ebusiness. Yes, your
website is important. But email, used properly, can take
on the starring role as your primary sales tool. As a high
response medium, email sells, promotes, informs, creates
buzz, acquires and retains customers, reinforces branding
and provides customer service, all in one swoop.
Email is still the Internet's killer application because
it works. Forget the prediction that with stuffed email
boxes and spam filters that block even legitimate messages
from getting through, email marketing is on the way out.
Not so.
That said, gone are the days when a marketer could simply
compose a message, click "Send" and expect everyone on
your mailing list to receive and respond. Think about
your own online habits. For most, email still is a
private, personal space, and most people don't want
strangers invading their privacy. Only friends,
colleagues and select businesses are invited in.
With that in mind, it's important to ensure your emails
are the "invited" kind, and that they are delivered,
opened and read. So here are seven tips to make your
email marketing campaigns more effective:
TIP NUMBER 1:
If your email list is large, break up your mailings into
smaller batches (usually 50 and under).
TIP NUMBER 2:
Keep your SUBJECT line personal and friendly
(e.g. use a recipient's first name).
TIP NUMBER 3:
Keep your SUBJECT line message short, but compelling.
TIP NUMBER 4:
Avoid using many of the common spam words and phrases
(e.g. Amazing, Buy now, Congratulations, Free,
Great offer etc.)
TIP NUMBER 5:
Be creative in your spelling for those words that may
be identified as spam (e.g. FR*EE).
TIP NUMBER 6:
Use a spam check service
(e.g. www.mailingcheck.com/download-spam-checker/)
TIP NUMBER 7:
Use a deadline in your offer, if possible.
BONUS TIP NUMBER 8:
Consider adding audio or video to your emails participation
is enhanced.
Who knew there were so many ways to increase the
opportunities to get your marketing email delivered,
opened and read?
Will every tip or suggestion listed here work every
time? It all depends on your target audience, their
frame of mind, your offer, and how well you know them.
(And of course, the effectiveness of their spam filters.)

on a relationship with your prospects and customers. And

partner in a new venture. A lot of planning goes into
business startups including the funding. These are some
aspects of business startup funding you should consider

opened and read.
Are you an e-marketer who wants to make more sales and
profits without spending a dime more on advertising? Then
get customers salivating for your product or service using
email as the lead method to drive your online success.
Email is the inexpensive marketing channel that allows
you to speak directly to prospects and customers and carry
on a relationship that contributes directly to sales.
Give email a starring role in your ebusiness. Yes, your
website is important. But email, used properly, can take
on the starring role as your primary sales tool. As a high
response medium, email sells, promotes, informs, creates
buzz, acquires and retains customers, reinforces branding
and provides customer service, all in one swoop.
Email is still the Internet's killer application because
it works. Forget the prediction that with stuffed email
boxes and spam filters that block even legitimate messages
from getting through, email marketing is on the way out.
Not so.
That said, gone are the days when a marketer could simply
compose a message, click "Send" and expect everyone on
your mailing list to receive and respond. Think about
your own online habits. For most, email still is a
private, personal space, and most people don't want
strangers invading their privacy. Only friends,
colleagues and select businesses are invited in.
With that in mind, it's important to ensure your emails
are the "invited" kind, and that they are delivered,
opened and read. So here are seven tips to make your
email marketing campaigns more effective:
TIP NUMBER 1:
If your email list is large, break up your mailings into
smaller batches (usually 50 and under).
TIP NUMBER 2:
Keep your SUBJECT line personal and friendly
(e.g. use a recipient's first name).
TIP NUMBER 3:
Keep your SUBJECT line message short, but compelling.
TIP NUMBER 4:
Avoid using many of the common spam words and phrases
(e.g. Amazing, Buy now, Congratulations, Free,
Great offer etc.)
TIP NUMBER 5:
Be creative in your spelling for those words that may
be identified as spam (e.g. FR*EE).
TIP NUMBER 6:
Use a spam check service
(e.g. www.mailingcheck.com/download-spam-checker/)
TIP NUMBER 7:
Use a deadline in your offer, if possible.
BONUS TIP NUMBER 8:
Consider adding audio or video to your emails participation
is enhanced.
Who knew there were so many ways to increase the
opportunities to get your marketing email delivered,
opened and read?
